Hoosier Healthwise

The Hoosier Healthwise Program is a state sponsored health insurance program for Indiana residents. Eligible residents include:

1. Children

2. Pregnant women

and

3. Low income working families

There are two Children's health insurance plans, Package A is a premium-free program and Package C is a reduced premium package. Similarly, there are also two packages available for pregnant women in Indiana, Package A provides full coverage and Package B provides coverage for pregnancy related expenses only. Family income and status determines which program applicants are eligible for.

Low-income working families in Indiana are eligible for the Hoosier Healthwise package if there are children under the age of 18 living with their parents or relative caretaker in the household, and of course if their household income does not exceed established limits.
